What kinds of literature do you enjoy?

I really enjoy reading classic literature. Classic literature is just so incredible to read because you get a taste of how life was years ago through the style of writing. It also improves your understanding and vocabulary. Just a side benefit…:-)

Narrators are all knowing and all seeing. They can cut to the depth of characters when dialogue might not suffice. They move the story along and give the reader insights that might otherwise be missed. They can also be quite the character themselves!

I'm trying to decided if I want to major in Literature… It is a great field, but I'm really not sure if there are any good job opportunities to go along with it…
That's a fun major and very interesting, but not too practical in the real-world unless you want to go onto get your master's [...]

I don't know about the art. But my parents and their generation were big on Hemingway, Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Lillian Hellman and Dashiell Hammett.
